Island Fish and Chips in Manitoulin Island

I've stopped at Island Fish & Chips twice now and never disappointed in the food. Fish and Chips are amazing staff is so very friendly. Will definitely go back .Also the backyard is beautiful so well decorated. Awesome job everyone will be back soon

I called and asked what time they were open until and they said 8pm. I drove past at 7:10pm to get an ice cream and they were closed. Extremely dissapointed that I was told one time and they were closed when I went. Won't ever trust what their staff have to say again. What a horrible reflection of their company - hire staff who know what the hell their doing and stick to you hours. Pathetic.

A must stop everytime we're on the island.

Food was very good

Service was great, worth walking up the street from the ferry. Chips excellent, fish delicious. Impressed with how quickly I got it.

The most delicious battered fish I have ever had. The fish was so thick and tender. Generous portions. :) I would however advise against the coleslaw (it was just like the stuff at KFC).

Fantastic. I am gluten free and that was really one of the best hamburgers I've ever had (wrapped in lots of very fresh lettuce). Chicken Caesar was super tasty. Fish and chips - wow. Lots of fish, not too much breading. Yummy fries. Very very friendly staff. Amazing all around!!!! I want to eat that meal all over again! (and next time I'll make sure we leave more time to enjoy the outside!!)

Great fish tacos, fish and chips and beautiful place to sit while eating. Must stop after cheechemaun or if just visiting South Bay mouth.

Best fish & chips on the Island, hands down. Friendly staff, quaint setting indoors & out. Love the back garden dining area. Island Fish & Chips should be your go to place as soon as you're off the ferry.

Had takeout fish. Staff was friendly, and the restaurant was very clean. The outdoor eating area looked quite nice. I liked the Eco friendly takeout boxes. No styrofoam.

Good fish, good price (for the island), extremely casual, eat in or out. Burger, ice cream, & fish were all good enough for a return visit.

So fresh, so yummy! Thick files of whitefish, Awesome batter, and local beer. Best back patio as well, pups welcome. Excellent service!

Fish and chips are top notch. First timeI had it was around 2013. This time around though (2018) fish is smaller. Can’t blame them though. Inflation is very real.

Fish tacos were good. The family thought ghat that the fish 'n' chips were greasy. Quick and good service

I go here every year when we head up to the cottage on Barrie Island. The best whitefish and chips ever.

Good little spot to stop while waiting for the Chi-Cheemaun. Fries were a little greasy, but the fish was good. Offer indoor and outdoor seating. Prices are reasonable.

Fish and chips served wrapped in newspaper, like it's supposed to be. The outdoor seating area is really interesting and, best of all, pet friendly!
